Welcome to CM Offer! In this article we will cover how to order your first product sample on the CM Offer platform. If you’re excited to start your own online store with CM Offer but aren’t sure how to get started, then this article is exactly where you should be!

First, new users will need to choose the product that they would like to have a physical sample of. After placing the sample order users can plan out next steps to get their store up and running as soon as possible!


1. Choose Your First Sample Product

Start by using choosing your first sample product from CM Offer's catalogue of 10,000+ ready to launch, best selling products!

2. Add to Cart and Checkout

After finalizing your customization details, add your sample product to cart and follow the checkout process.

3. Start Planning Ahead

Finally, spend some time to plan out your next couple steps and schedule a launch date for your new business.

1. Choose Your First Sample Product

After logging into your CM Offer account and choosing some products to add to your store, ordering a physical sample is something we highly recommend! A physical sample is helpful to establish a clear expectation for fulfillment with a new vendor (us!) and will also be useful to take lifestyle photos of your product, which have been shown to improve conversion rates on product listing pages. If you are running on a tight budget we recommend checking out our "Under 4 Dollars" category to get started without breaking the bank!

Fill in Customization Details

Next, navigate to your the product that you would like to order as your first physical sample. Make sure to fill out all of the personalization details for the product so that it can be used for lifestyle photos. Double check that all details are correct before proceeding!

Pro-Tip: If your product sample has room for custom text, consider entering your store name instead of a personal name.

2. Add to Cart and Checkout

After finalizing your customization details, add your sample product to cart and follow our simple checkout process. Pay close attention because this will likely be the process you use when placing your first couple of real customer orders on the CM Offer platform!

Once you have confirmed, and double checked all of the personalization details for your product sample order it is time to add your product to the cart.

After adding the product, you can access your cart page by clicking on the cart icon at the top right corner of the screen.

Add a Shipping Address

Decide where you want your physical sample to be delivered, and enter the shipping address in the provided area. 

Pro-Tip: While it is not required, we recommend adding a phone number to your shipping address to assist the shipping company with delivery.

Choose a Shipping Method

Next, choose a shipping method. Please note that the shipping time does not include the processing time for us to manufacture the product for your. Processing times can take between 1 to 10 business days depending on the product category.

We recommend ordering the sample early, so that you can choose a cheaper shipping method. You can use the time in between to start  planning and creating your product listings.

Process Payment

We offer payment through CM Offer account balance, or Paypal Express checkout. CM Offer balance can be recharged by direct bank transfer, but takes a couple days to process.

We recommend using Paypal Express checkout for your physical sample and first couple of orders. Once you have a consistent order volume, you can save the Paypal transaction fees by keeping a small CM Offer account balance.

Select a Product

Once you have found a product that you think has potential, it is time to check out the product page to view more details.

You can access a product's detailed listing page by clicking on the product image in the search results.

Add to Wish List

From the product page you can see all of the details related to a product such as available materials, customization options, and the price. This is also where you can add the product to your cart to order a physical sample.

To save the product for later, click the "Add to Wish" button. You will then be able to view the product on the Wishlist page inside your CM Offer account.

3. Start Planning Ahead

Now that you have successfully ordered your first CM Offer product sample, it is time to start planning the next steps. It would suffice to say that we have opened a fair number of ecommerce stores ourselves. The following are the next steps our team would follow when opening an ecommerce store with a new vendor. We recommend that you copy this list down and set specific dates and times to tackle each step. For convenience we have also added a rough guideline for how much time you should budget to spend on each task during the set up process.


Connect A Shop

Pair a store with your CM Offer account to enable additional features. Depending on the platform, we offer automated product listing exports, and customer order imports. It's also a great way to keep data separable and easily accessible for the future if you decide to open multiple stores.

Estimated Time: 5 minutes per store

Import a Product

Add a product from our catalogue to your store. We offer basic photos that you can use for the initial listing, but we do recommend that you take additional lifestyle photos when your physical sample arrives. Product photos that take place in real environments are much more likely to convert compared to photos on blank backgrounds.

Estimated Time: 1 hour per product


After you have chosen your products and added them to your storefront, it is time to open for business! Do one last double check of the details in your store and publish your listings to the general public.
